31-year-old British, number 3 in the WBC rankings finished his career: I’m tired, I give up…

British light heavyweight boxer (up to 50.8 kg), former champion of the British Boxing Council (Bbvos) and former WBC international title holder Andrew Selby (13-1, 7 KO) decided to end his career.

The 3rd number of the WBC rating announced this via social networks: “I Just want everyone to know. I give up, I quit the Boxing game. Thank you for your support to the fans and sponsors.”

In may 2017, Selby was in fifth place, but defeated future world champion Christopher Rosales of Nicaragua. In March 2019, he entered the final eliminator fight-lost by a brutal knockout in the 5th round to the future title holder, Mexican Julio Cesar Martinez.

In September 23019, Selby almost made a mistake in a duel with jornimen — a certain Fadhili Majiha from Tanzania beat the favorite, twice sent him to the fifth point. Local judge Darren Maxwell (the fight took place in Newcastle, England) tried very hard and gave the victory to his (76-74).

Dillian white “offended” Lennox Lewis. He had already answered

British top heavyweight Dillian Whyte (27-1, 18 KO) either intentionally or accidentally touched a nerve with legendary compatriot Lennox Lewis, the last absolute heavyweight champion in history.

White was thinking about ” the top heavyweights in Boxing history.” It was controversial, too controversial. Especially the last sentence: “I think Evander Holyfield should be higher in the top than Mike Tyson. He was in a fight with Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, Michael Moorer, Riddick Bowe, and even a George foreman. Tyson didn’t have any such names. He had no one but Lewis. And then he lost to him. I believe in Holyfield. So much so that I consider him the winner in both fights with Lewis.”

White, of course, is in the minority, because most experts, colleagues in the ring and fans believe that Lewis twice deservedly defeated Holyfield — in March 1999, a draw was recorded by a split decision of the judges, in November of the same year, the British won by unanimous decision.

In the confrontation between Lewis and Holyfield, “noted” Eugenia Williams, who in the first fight considered the victory of Holyfield. Her judging ability was branded similar to that of another female judge-Adelaide bird — in September 2017 for a shameful 118-110 in favor of Saul Alvarez in a confrontation with Gennady Golovkin.

Lewis responded to white via social media: “I suspect that white was just taking a judicial course at the Eugene Williams school.”
